The Weekly Word with Dr. Dowe: Begin to Worship

I plead with you to give your bodies to God because af all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship the LordRomans 12:1 (NLT)

When I look back over my life and see how God has blessed me and my family, I want to fall to my knees and Praise God. When I think of all this, in spite of me, I want to Honor God. I would veer to say, “you agree with me!”

So, the least we can do is truly worship Him, as described in the scripture above.

God alone is the sole source of absolute power and absolute wisdom. The last time I checked, the power to sustain, awaken and rule this world, did not come from me or YOU! God deserves our Worship! Take a minute, do it now!

In the Old testament times, people would sacrifice animals in their worship experience as a demonstration of a relationship with God. Even then, it was God’s spirit at work and not the sacrificed animal. God wants us to offer our hearts & bodies by having obedient hearts to Daily-Read His Word, make ourselves available for His will and trust him to guide us through. There is Life in the Holy Spirit. The Holy spirit is Power, it was the power in the creation of the world and still is the power to change the impossible. Not only is change possible, the change does not fade away. When the Spirit operates to change, the change is eternal and freedom from bondage occurs. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, “For the Lord is the Spirit and, wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom…forever!” Change occurs. Leave the old self, the old way of doing things-Begin reading the word, worship God for who He is and get your heart and body in line with good.
