Title: To Stand in awe of Holy Convocation! 1/15/17
“That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.” 1 Kings 8:60 (NKJV)
Have you ever participated in a period of Holy Convocation? Do you know what it means? Why is it important, or not?
Since I have been in “church” most of my life, I thought surely I have partaked of such an occasion. I could not remember for sure so decided to investigate and partake. I am so so sooo glad I did. It blessed my church, my family and my marriage.
Convocation referred to as set apart for an appointed time, to sanctify, or be holy; to read and understand the laws of God (Elohim) so can use God’s laws you learned during the set apart time for the appointed time. Hebrew words give more meaning to Holy Convocation: miqra spoken as “Mik-raw” means rehearsal for an event involving the reading and understanding of it; qadash, spoken as “Kaw-dash” means to be set apart, holy for God. Simply, convocation means to set aside an appointed time to read and understand God’s laws so that you can use His laws in my life and practice them. If I can explain the warmth I feel inside, its like feeling the wind move over my skin but not seeing it yet know the warmth, its there inside. Although we received the blessing of the Spirit during Holy Convocation, some people openly confessed their sins, others proclaimed their healing over diseases, I believe God is not through showing signs and wonders to people who love him, obey him and trust him.
In our scripture above Solomon is leading the assembly of the people in Jerusalem to bring the Ark of the Covenant back into the new Tabernacle he had just finished building. An Holy Convocation was occurring it says in 1 King 8:65, “Solomon held a Feast of Tabernacle…with a great congregation for seven days…On the eighth day he sent the people away…and they went into their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the Lord had done…YES…
Our last day of fasting was today. At our church, we were praying and fasting for 40 days and nights asking for healing in the land.
God is not through with us yet. His intent according to the Bible is that all earth will know Him and know He is God.
We, at Med-Life-Fit, pray for your spiritual healing and the release of any strongholds that the enemy is making you sad and feel trapped, discouraged…And may you be completely faithful to your Lord, our God. May you always obey His commands, just as you are doing today, Amen.
Be Blessed and Healthy!
