THE WORD FOR THE WEEK Title: Victory is ours Through…

“That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet, they produce for us glory (blessings in heaven) that vastly outweighs them and will last forever” 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (NLT)

In today’s Word for the Week, the Apostle Paul is the featured author as he travels through Corinth. The time was about 55 years A.D. and false teaching and gods were popular all around. Paul, a messenger of the Kingdom of God, witnessed and reminded people of God by recalling all his sufferings. This is what Paul did in 2 Corinthians, our featured chapter in the bible this week.

Paul describes his sufferings as beatens…stoned…shipwrecked…in fasting and hungry often…in perils with my countrymen...not to mention all the spiritual attacks. Through all of this, Paul encourages us not to lose heart. It is as if he is saying (through all he has gone through), How can you NOT lose heart? The point is through the trials, the lesson leaves us better, more effective through our suffering and a more life-giving, renewed Christian.

Paul reminds us although we think we are at the end of our ropes, we are never because God will never abandon nor allow us to be destroyed. Christ has won the victory through His death. Paul was not very successful in an earthly perspective yet very successful with his relationship with the Lord. Where are you in your relationship with the Lord? Do you give the Lord any of your time? Like Paul, we must carry out our ministry looking for God’s strength.

We at MED-LIFE-FIT want you to remember you have the victory because no one can destroy what God has done and accomplished in you and what He will do in your future! We are so thankful to work at a place that Honors God and to participate in making your Best Health Better

VICTORY IS OURS THROUGH THE LORD!

When we witness and tell others about Christ, we must be very careful because we too stand in God’s presence. When we witness, it should be about what God has and is doing.

“We are troubled on every side yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair. We are persecuted (hunted down), but never abandoned by God; cast down, but we are not destroyed”.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9
