The Word For The Week

THE WORD FOR THE WEEK

Title: Miracles still happen… 3/5/2017

“But these (miraculous signs) are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name”. John 20:31 (NLT)

John, The Apostle, is our featured speaker this week. He was the son of Zebedee and Salome and the brother of James who happened to be another of the 12 disciples. John outlived the remaining 11 disciples and the only one of the disciples who died of natural causes which is a miracle in itself. He wrote this letter around 85 years A.D. John was alive to witness most of Jesus’ miracles of which eight are written as a central them in The Book of John revealing Jesus as the Living Word, the Messiah, the heaven-sent Son of God and the only source of eternal life.

John witnessed the miracles of Jesus and how he divinely healed many people: Ordered the lame to walk; calmed raging seas; took the lunch of a little boy and fed 5000 people; spiritually healed a woman at the well and took away her depression; caused the man by the pool at Siloam who was born blind to see; he publically forgives an adulterous woman by saying “Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone to kill her”; a government official walked 20 miles only to be told by Jesus to walk back home by faith to find his son was already healed. And, if you are wondering why these miracles were done, allow me to bring to your attention John 20:31: “These things are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you shall have POWER…to be the next miracle”(paraphrased).

Do you still believe in miracles, miraculous signs and wonders? It is God’s will that all who believe are saved. So the question becomes “Have I truly and honestly committed my life to him as my savior and Lord? If so, you know by faith that indeed you are a child of God. You can know that you have eternal life, you have power through the Holy Spirit and nothing can separate you from the love of God.

‘And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him”

1 John 5:14

We at Med-Life-Fit encourage you and your spirit to commit to getting it right. Be healthy and blessed
